As guests arrived at the industrial Bay 25 at Sydney’s Carriageworks, they were greeted with the unmistakable scent of burning incense, alongside live drawing of kolams by an Indian family that covered the concrete floor.
Some girls walked the runway barefooted, adorned with ornate anklets, while others wore little crescents and stars on their ears. It was modern bohemian, done the Bec &
Bridge way. A modern hippie, if you will.
No clichéd bell bottoms or flared sleeves. In its place, we saw silky bias-cut dresses and matching separates and perfect flirty party dresses (what the label is known for). Inspired by the Indian sun, there were warm earthy tones in metallic ombre shades. Soft pastels and classic black and white features in very sexy cut-out dresses.
Bec & Bridge resort collection arrives in October, November and December 2016.
